First a little information:
David is currently pursuing a BA in Theatre Arts. He is an Honors Student, a grader, the department intern, an actor, an aspiring director, and currently a playwright. He will graduate in December 2008.
Diana graduated in December 2006 with a BA in Theatre Arts. While not an Honors Student, she did well in the department, working on several productions a semester. She currently works in a bookstore and fills her time reading, knitting, watching tv and movies, and doing this whole “wedding thing.”
Now the story:
David and Diana casually met at the University Players’ Bored Games Night the week before school started in Fall 2005. Diana was working the event as the UP Concessions Chairperson. David, having just moved into the dorm, came to the event to get to know people. They played a few games of Apples to Apples, but nothing happened just yet.
A few days later auditions were held for the fall productions, one of which, The Illusion, Diana was stage managing. David was cast in one of the leads and soon after, David and Diana were spending five days a week together in rehearsals. During one particular rehearsal, the cast was reading through the script and David made Diana laugh. Actually, David made Diana laugh at things she hadn’t thought were funny before and then some flirting began. Eventually everyone in the cast knew that Diana had a crush on David and started their meddling.
David and Diana got to spend extra time together with the cast, but one night David got sick and couldn’t make it to one of the get-togethers. Diana was disappointed and asked David if he wanted to watch a Stars hockey game (their favorite sport) the next evening at her house. He gladly accepted the invitation, even going as far as wearing his Star hockey jersey.
David and Diana have been a couple since that night, October 22nd, 2005. The Stars won.
